STORM CLOUDS

Yolanda Renee © 2017

One of the last pictures taken on my visit to the beach.
A strong foretelling of things to come.
The temperature was 29 degrees and storm clouds were on the horizon.

For you - For me - a little inspiration!

“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
Shel Silverstein

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.”
Robert Fulghum

“Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.”
Langston Hughes

Always a storm headed our way, but doesn't mean we still can't play. Great quotes indeed.

That's one cold beach.

We headed out to the beach this afternoon for ice cream because the weather was so nice. It couldn't have looked more different from this. It was warm enough not to need a coat and the sky was really blue with barely a cloud in the sky!

Alex, I went for a walk that day, and saw folks dressed as though it were 60 degrees. Crazy, because I was wearing several layers and my face, the only thing exposed, was frozen!

It does seem that way, doesn't it. Yes, the quotes do help! Always!

How is life away from the beach? That's a great shot. And I thought I came up with the tagline to my first vampire story myself: 'Love is stronger than death.' So Robert Fulghum got there first. Don't you hate that? Love the quotes. Very inspiring. :-)

BTW, a category 5 cyclone/hurricane is heading to Townsville. Hits tonight or tomorrow morning. Natch I'm very concerned for Candice and Romy... They've done all the prep, but you never know :-(

Loving the Langston Hughes quote. Dreams give us something to aim for. I hope the storm passed by uneventfully. Wishing you a lovely week, Yolanda.

There's something so exciting about storms. I think it's their unpredictable nature that makes me want to take a walk under those dark clouds. Beautiful picture.

I've been meaning to go back and reread Shel Silverstein. It's been way too long!

That's definitely a dramatic sky. Thanks for the great quotes.

That beach picture is fantabulous. Tell ya what, even a cold day at the beach is better than no day on the beach at all. :)

We hit the weather jackpot when we went to visit the kids. It was warm and sunny, and the Gulf temperature was fantastic. Felt a little chilly at first, but it didn't take long at all to get used to it. Smarticus asked our son if we could visit the beach one day so I could get my feet wet, (what a sweetie!) and that was the plan. (our son had a vehicle that could hold all eight of us, so he did all the driving while we were there.) But the kids and I ended up playing a little more enthusiastically than originally intended, so afterwards, we had to stop at a store to buy them all dry clothes. We agreed that next time, we'll all wear bathing suits. HA

I am envious of anyone with that kind of love, great line! Too bad about Fulghum! :)
